Ingredient 5: Ginger Powder

The next ingredient that makes into my daily SuperBowl is powdered ginger. This is something that I began adding to the bowl solely for the health benefits. I realize that this may be a flavor that will not work for everybody in a bowl of oatmeal. It took a little bit of getting used to, but now, I really love the zing that it adds to the bowl.


There are three main reasons that I work ginger powder into my daily diet. 1) Ginger powder has been proven to help obese people to lose weight over time. 2) Ginger powder lowers LDL cholesterol in people with elevated levels. 3) Ginger powder lowers A1C levels and helps diabetics and prediabetics maintain healthy blood glucose levels.


The cost for my daily ginger powder works out to about six cents per day. A real bargain considering the benefits. I would recommend that you give it a try. If it doesn't work for you in a bowl of oatmeal, it may work better for you in a veggie stir fry or in another way.
