My Diabetes Reversal Diet

The diet that I'm starting with to jump start my diabetes reversal is a plant-based whole-food diet with some additional restrictions thrown in to assist my body in managing my blood glucose.
Here is what I'm eating and drinking:
All vegetables with the exception of corn and potatoes
All fruit with the exception of bananas
Black beans, chickpeas, and lentils
Old fashioned oatmeal
Water and green tea
Here is what I'm NOT eating and drinking:
Corn and Potatoes
Bananas
Grains like barley, farro, and quinoa
Bread, pasta, and other wheat-based processed foods
Alcohol
Soda - Diet or Sugar
Here are some rules that I've imposed to help with my weight loss:
Don't eat any free food that is offered at work (or anywhere else)
Don't eat someone else's leftovers
Don't eat anything that is labeled as low fat or fat free
Don't eat anything with added sugar
